Spirit in the Bottle WIP 5

Okay, I’m at the very frustrated stage where I’m so sick of this piece I could… well, I’d like to sit down with a pizza and a disc of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But that’s not happening, so I’d better keep working.

I turned that hatchet head upright so it doesn’t lead the viewer’s eye off the canvas, and detailed the trees. Now I’m fighting with the rest of the foliage. I also added a fog effect to see if I like it. And to help push the distant trees further back so they don’t steal attention from the boy. I also started sorting out the lighting on the genie, but it’s far from fixed.
